We’re going to talk about the use of drones and your roofing company, also some different uses that you may not have thought of. Using a drone is a fantastic way to market your roofing company as many of you have already learned, there’s a lot of different types of drones out there and figuring out which ones can do different things is part of the challenge as a new user to drones, as you probably learned, some of them have a better distance. They can travel further as well as have a better camera on them and you can upgrade and get even bigger and better cameras for some the larger drones. There are some different things that you may want to think about when using drones to market your roofing company or even yourself as a roofing contractor. You know and I know that it’s great to get some of those amazing videos that we can get our work going on from high up, I’ve seen some fantastic stuff come out of the out of the roofing community.
A couple of things to think about is how you can use your drone to market you during your process. Some of the things you could do is have it flying around you while you’re doing some of your work with regards to doing inspections or caring for a property while work is going on. I’ll talk quickly about a couple of types of drones that are out there. A DJI Phantom 4 series is a great drone. It’s big, it has great capability and distance and has a fantastic camera, but it is a little bit overwhelming because it requires a pretty big controller and possibly a phone or an ipad to run it. It is one potential option. Another is the smaller, DJI Spark. The spark is a pretty unique little drone. It’s about the size of a cell phone and it doesn’t have as much capability. It’s only got a 1080p camera rather than the 4k, but it’s still does a lot and you can control it from your phone, get some quick photos of you doing some stuff around a project as well as having this in your pocket. These are some different ways that you can use drones to market your company. I just want you to think about some of those things as opportunities arise and think about this.
Take it. Use it. Good luck out there.
